Webinar Overview:

This webinar will build on the basic concepts learned in the Credentialing, Re-credentialing, and Privileging Basics program by delving into difficult to understand issues such as, documenting competency, developing privileging criteria for new procedures, and understanding the concept of negligent credentialing. Included will be in-depth discussion and interactive hands-on sessions reviewing an application for "red flags" and applying credentialing criteria in both the hospital and managed care settings.

Target Audience:

• Medical services professionals, medical staff leaders, Credentials Committee members, Hospital CEOs, Quality Mangers and any other hospital staff or medical staff members responsible for credentialing and privileging of physicians and other practitioners

• Identify processes to document current competency
• Utilize tools provided to develop a policy and procedure for handling requests for new procedures
